This year marks the second annual Automatic Merchandiser and VendingMarketWatch.com “Pro to Know” Awards, which recognize industry professionals who are leading initiatives to help prepare for the challenges of today's business climate. We’re proud to say that for the second year running, one of Apriva’s team was selected as a winner! Our “Pro to Know,” Paul DeRosse, is our vice president of business development for Apriva in Canada, who’s made significant contributions to the world of vending/automatic merchandising.
Paul has taken major actions to help move the vending industry forward. As part of these efforts, he has taken an active role in educating the industry. Paul believes it is crucial to clearly explain the challenges the industry faces, complete with nuances and complexities to all parties involved. He has been instrumental in helping companies make connections in the vending space and often introduces businesses that are entering the market to experienced, proven experts and to the local associations. Paul goes above and beyond to work with local regulatory agencies and associations to insure the specific requirements of the vending industry are addressed. A notable example of this is when Paul lobbied with Interac so that expensive PIN ENTRY devices and separate receipt printers would not be required on a vending machine which would accept Interac FLASH, greatly impacting the industry.
Paul’ simple philosophy is that ‘everybody should win.’ His great attitude has benefitted manufacturers, vending operators, end-users and technology providers alike, enabling him to help push the industry forward and make transactions as simple as possible every step of the way. Paul is a highly valuable member of Apriva’s core team, and a distinguished member of the vending industry.
